Liverpool

Following our two days at Alton Towers, Hal, Jev, Elsa, Ellis and I made our way up to Liverpool to stay with my mum. Went to visit Uncle Derek and Aunty Pauline on Wednesday. I told Derek that I was to run the Paris Marathon on April 15th and he informed me that I have […]

Disappointing 20 Miles

Completed a very disappointing first Worthing 20 mile race on Sunday (Mothers Day). Planned to run in 2:40:00 to beat my PB by 3 minutes. However, for some reason, I decided I needed more energy gels than I have ever used before. Along with the energy drinks being handed out as well, I actually overdosed

Brighton Half Marathon

Brighton Half Marathon

Ran my first Brighton Half Marathon yesterday. It was a beautiful day. It started out cold at 7:30 when we left Worthing but had warmed up significantly by the start. Brighton 10k

This Sunday I ran the Brighton 10k in a time of 42:44. I had been hoping to run it in around 40 minutes but I made three important miscalculations! Firstly, I had for some reason decided that 10k is the same as 6 miles and I have been training at 6 mile distances for ages.

Great South Run

Yesterday I ran 10 miles in 1 hour 12 minutes and 38 seconds. It’s my fastest time for 10 miles and, although I was aiming for 1 hour 10 minutes, I am very happy. The killer was turning a corner at 8 miles and heading in to the wind for the final two. Usually when

Under 20 minutes for 5k

Finally managed to break 20 minutes for 5k round Hove park, Brighton at parkrun. It’s a good start to the weekend. Took Elsa swimming and then we have friends over this afternoon. Tomorrow is the Great South Run in Portsmouth. If I can just keep up the pace I’ll hope to get round in just
