Liverpool

Following our two days at Alton Towers, Hal, Jev, Elsa, Ellis and I made our way up to Liverpool to stay with my mum. Went to visit Uncle Derek and Aunty Pauline on Wednesday. I told Derek that I was to run the Paris Marathon on April 15th and he informed me that I have to beat 3 hours 26 minutes, which is what he achieved in the one and only marathon he has been allowed to run!

Spent the day in Liverpool city centre on Thursday after a brief trip to the large Tesco to see the FA Trophy. The FA Cup semi-final was between Everton and Liverpool this season. Had our photos taken with the cup. At Liverpool One, Jevan bought some new socks and Hal purchased a jumper. Had coffee at Albert Dock on the one day of sunshine we had on the entire week! Friday we took the children swimming at Splash World in Southport. Ellis has really enjoyed both swimming trips during Easter week. I am confident he will really do well in his swimming lessons, which start in May. Elsa has alo enjoyed swimming, but we know she loves the water.

Saturday was a busy day. We got up early to go to Princes Park near Sefton Park for the Liverpool parkrun. Jev and I ran whilst Hal looked after the two little people. I ran with Jev rather than going for a fast time. If I had run my fastest I would have come 5th overall. Jevan tried for a PB but has a stitch early on and could make up the time later. He did his second fastest time of 23:30 and also ran his 10th parkrun, so he gets a t-shirt next time.

Liverpool April 2012

After parkrun I though we could go to Anfield and just see if there were any tickets left for the Premier League match against Aston Villa. There were, but I made two major errors. One, I didn’t realise quite how expensive they would be. £192 for four tickets at £48 each! Two, I only got four tickets. Arrived at the ground with Ellis expecting him to sit on my knee, only to be told he needed a ticket! A ticket for a 10 month old baby!! Luckily Roger was able to come to the ground a collect him so the rest of us could go in. The game was a dull 1-1 draw but Hal and Jev enjoyed it and, although it cost a packet, I want them to see Liverpool play whenever possible and for all my children to have great experiences together and with me.

Drove to Milton Keynes on Sunday to have lunch with Dad and Lynn before the drive back to Worthing and Brighton. I have been filming with my 3D camera over the past week and intend to edit it and put the results on YouTube, but you won’t be able to watch it without a 3D TV or 3D capable computer and 3D glasses. However, you can watch the 2D version above.
